Young descendants of former prisoners of war in Italy are forming a “Third Generation” group to help ensure that the Monte San Martino Trust thrives in memory of the courageous help given to their grandfathers.
The organiser, Becky Lahey-Bean, the granddaughter of Major Maurice Goddard, a Fontanellato camp prisoner, would be grateful if other third, or fourth, generation descendants of PoWs would contact her. The group aims to support the Trust’s fundraising Appeal and commemorative Trails in Italy.
